A 29-year-old woman from Plumtree was found dead in her bedroom with one of her breasts missing.
The woman, who is from Keme Village, also had her left finger missing when her body was discovered.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the killer.
Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident The Herald reports.
“Police in Mphoengs are investigating circumstances surrounding a murder case which occurred on June 5 2021 at Keme Village, Mphoengs, Plumtree, where a woman (29) was found dead in her bedroom,” he said.

Taurai Charumbika(49) tragically died upon admission at the Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital after he was savagely assaulted by Nerere Hamabungu.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the incident which happened at Chikonga Mine in Odzi.
According to the police report, on the fateful day, Hamabungu went to Charumbika’s cabin at night and confronted him over the alleged illicit affair with his wife.
Armed with a log, he assaulted Charumbika.
