A jilted 35-year-old man reportedly killed his twin brother’s wife for turning down his marriage proposal at Uro-mekaa, a village in the Sawla district of the Savannah Region, Ghana.
The deceased is said to be wife of the twin brother of the suspect Kpeyiri Nieba.
The victim was reportedly preparing shea butter at the farm when she was murdered in cold blood.
According to Atinka News, Nieba who is already married with four children wanted to marry his late brother’s wife against her will.
Prior to her death, Nieba had allegedly warned the now deceased that she was going to get married to him or no one else, and when he heard the victim had gotten a suitor he followed her to the farm and killed her.
The family of the deceased is still in shock over the heinous crime that was committed by Nieba.
In other news, iHarare reported that a man from Gweru died after he was scalded with boiling cooking oil by his angry wife following a heated row over infidelity allegations.
The horrible incident occurred in Gweru’s Hertfordshire Suburb on Monday.
Alois Zaranyika’s wife, Grace Mazhata is alleged to have confronted him over some infidelity allegations and the misunderstanding quickly spiraled out of control. Grace who seems to have made her preparations earlier on then scalded her husband with cooking oil which had been heated on the stove.
Following the savage attack, Alois fled from his home and tried to seek refuge at a neighbor’s house. However, Grace who was on the warpath armed herself with a log and followed him there.
She used the log to assault her injured husband, who found it hard to defend himself due to the horrible burns that he had suffered from the boiling cooking oil.
She only stopped after she was physically restrained by the neighbors. Zaranyika was rushed to Gweru Provincial Hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, he died two days later.
Grace has since been apprehended and she is expected to appear in court soon.
