Allegations are that on Friday last week, at around 3:30 pm, Makuyana checked for her money which she kept in an empty camphor cream container, and found nothing.
She asked the two siblings Tadiwanashe Sithole and Sithandikile Masunungure who at first denied and later after threats Tadiwanashe admitted that she took the money.
Makuyana took a sjambok and whipped Tadiwanashe several times all over the body, the court heard.
After beating her, Makuyana told Tadiwanashe to sit under a mango tree. Tadiwanashe complained that her body was getting weak and she went and rested in the bedroom.
Makuyana reportedly later checked on her at around 6 pm and found her lying lifeless on a mattress.
According to The Mirror, the matter was reported to the police leading to Makuyana’s arrest.
